The LIC AAO AE exam is going to have three stages, namely,
- Preliminary Exam (or Phase 1)

LIC AAO AE Exam Pattern For Prelims
- The total duration of the online written exam will be 1 hour or 60 minutes.
- 0.25 marks will be deducted if a candidate attempts a question wrong.
- Preliminary Examination (Phase 1) will be an objective test conducted via online mode
- English Language Test will be of qualifying nature & marks in the Language section

LIC AAO AE Exam Pattern For Main
Main exam consist of Objective Test & Descriptive Test
Total Marks of the Objective Test- 300
Total Marks of the Descriptive Test- 25
Both the exams will be conducted through online mode. The descriptive exam will also be through typing on the computer.
There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests for main examination. ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
